Tennessee Williams took the tragedy of his own family and transformed it into a poetic work of beauty and pain. The dreams of a woman living in a fantasy world and a woman living in the past clash and create spectacular dramatic lightning. The fragile and radiant Laura Wingfield is one of theatre’s most memorable characters.
